I love these things too - still look great and are reasonably fast for a 20 year old design considering how midsize sedans now do 0-60 in under 6 seconds. I’d honestly prefer an SMG though. Just about all the ones I’ve seen near me have some issues though. It’s too the point is almost rather buy one with a totally busted SMG on the cheap and then pay a dealer to replace it and start fresh. I saw one on CL for $5k a few months ago but someone else with the same idea got it before I did.

Carbon Schwartz on Cinnamon. I was looking for over a year for that color combo with a manual with full service history. Love it and will hold onto it for as long as possible

Snap one up while prices are still low-ish! They do require a lot of love and patience, but it is totally worth it. FWIW I test drove a new Z4 in the canyons this past week. It was total trash. I’d take the E46 over it any day.
